Cutting Through The Water
Thursday, September 10, 2026
Have you ever tried to dive into a pool but ended up doing a belly flop? It’s as if the water knocked the wind out of you. It not only hurts, it’s embarrassing. The right way to dive is to use your body like a focused knife point that cuts through the water. Ecclesiastes 10:10 says, “When the axe is dull, and the edge is unsharpened, the more strength is required.” It’s the same principle as diving. When an axe is sharp, it goes right through, because it’s focused. Spiritually if you want to go far in the Lord, you have to be more like a sharpened ax. Paul was focused on the Lord. Everything he did for the Lord was pressing on toward the goal. That’s why he was used greatly and accomplished so many things. Be like Paul. Focus your life, your energy, your time, and your heart on the Lord and His purposes. You’ll be as sharp as a knife, cut through any obstacle in your way to the Lord and you’ll never end up doing a belly flop.

Soli Deo Gloria!
Quick summary: The migration process was a good lesson on prayer, patience and perseverance. The blue host customer support team was exceptional through many calls.
We will be starting another Semikkah7 read through the Bible in a year starting Thursday, October 1st. I will not be as active on posting commentary on the daily readings this time around, as I expect we have two to three commentary posts on average. I will most definitely engage with brothers and sisters that post questions or invitations for fellowship from the daily readings. I expect for the remainder of 2026, I will concentrate postings on: 1). Fellowship questions for the Gospel of John by chapter. In the category window, we have a specific category for Gospel of John bible study with multiple time periods. 2). I had a post years ago where I highlighted what I considered the most important posts for further study, prayer and reflection. I want to do that again for the years 2024 through 2026.
Your brother in Christ,
Jimmy
