Becoming Not Impossible

Thursday, October 29, 2026
The angel said to Mary, “Nothing shall be impossible with God.” He didn’t say, “Nothing is impossible with God” but “Nothing shall be impossible with God.” In other words, it may be impossible now, but with God, it will cease to be impossible. But if something is impossible, it can never become possible. That’s what impossible means. But here it’s implying what is impossible will stop being impossible. It was impossible for our sins to disappear as if they never happened, but He makes it possible. Maybe it feels impossible for your guilt to be taken away, but God will do it. He makes guilty people innocent. Without God, it would be impossible to be born again, but what was impossible, now becomes possible. So the promise is even better than just saying nothing is impossible with God. For even if something in your life is impossible, what was impossible shall become possible with God. So don’t give up and don’t ever lose hope. No matter how impossible it may seem, or actually be, be strong and believe because, with God, nothing shall be impossible.

The Covenant of the Impossible – Luke 1: 34-38:
Let’s look at what the angel Gabriel proclaimed to Mary:
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the holy One to be born will be called the Son of God.” Luke 1: 35
Now, let’s check out the commentary from “The Evidential Study Bible”:
“1:35. Some scholars have understood the conception of Jesus by the Holy Spirit to be a late invention of the early church, especially since it appears explicitly in the NT only in Luke and Matthew. Most contemporary scholars dismiss as baseless, however, theories that the story was developed from or in response to pagan legends of supernatural conceptions, since suggested parallels bear little resemblance to the Gospel narratives. But there was no theological need to invent the virgin birth; other avenues for asserting the divinity of Christ (such as adoptions, the view that Jesus the man became divine by adoption (*A – below) were open and less fraught with the danger of inviting the charge that Jesus was illegitimate, which was in fact the pagan and Jewish response to the stories. In the end, the only real reason for rejecting the historicity of the virgin birth is a philosophical denial of the supernatural in general and of the incarnation in particular.”
(*A) – The Mormons believe that even God the Father was a man at one time. Insane heresies by definition, can boggle the mind. It even goes so far to say that we too can become “gods” eventually, creating our own universes. I submit – Further evidence of original sin, as if we needed it, we all want to be our own gods. And further, as I have noted before, it is a good thing that I have all of eternity to fully comprehend the Lord our God Almighty, for that is how long it is going to take me.
